A few days ago I got an interesting idea from Rocky Agrawal (@rakeshlobster) on Twitter. He put together a Google doc with ideas for new articles he was thinking of writing. He asked for input from his Twitter followers.

Although it seems he has since pulled that document down, I think it’s an idea worth testing.
So this week I began jotting down ideas in a Google doc. I’ve made that document public so you can see it. You can comment on the document by clicking on the Comments drop-down menu and selecting “Show comment stream.”

As you’ll see when you view the document, I’ve lined out the first idea since I’ve now used it. I’ve also placed a link back to the blog post where I wrote about the idea.
For now, this is how I plan to collect and cull my blog post ideas.
Here’s what I’d like to know:
Of the ideas I’ve listed, is there any one in particular that you’d like me to write about?
Or do you have a specific idea or question you’d like me to answer in the form of a blog post?
I’d appreciate it if you’d leave a comment and let me know.
Thanks in advance for reading and providing your input.

Looks like you’ve swiped a great idea, Ryan!

Well, it seemed like a great idea. No comments yet, though. Might not be as good an idea as I thought.
If readers don’t respond, I plan to put up a page that lets people anonymously submit questions for consideration on my blog. The problem with the Google doc may be that comments are not anonymous.
Personally, I’d be interested in learning more about the Mark Cuban quote and hearing your own angle on the matter.
Thanks for your input, Gogo! :-)
Okay… sorry, folks. A reader just let me know comments were turned off. I had made the document “Public” for people who have the link, so I thought anybody would be able to comment. I was wrong.
I did some digging and discovered there’s a separate setting that is not quite-as-obvious that needs to be changed to allow comments.
I’ve now FIXED that setting so you should be able to comment. Sorry!
Hi Ryan, I went through your blog post ideas and these are pretty good. So one should have creative and innovative ideas to write on these ideas. I like very much one of your idea that “the king who ate grass for a year”. One should have really excellent skills to write on this. Thanks a ton for your gratifying work.
