Dreadful Right-Wing Capitalists

by Ryan M. Healy on June 11, 2012

A frustrated affiliate sounds off…

“My blog ads usually get a large number of clicks but no sales. How can I improve this ratio? Call me a dreadful ‘right-wing capitalist’ if you like, but prefer more sales with those clicks.”

Here’s the thing:

Blog ads aren’t really a great way to sell stuff.

I use ‘em.

They do drive sales.

But it usually takes a LOT of traffic to generate a single sale.

A much better way to drive sales is to actually SELL something using an email or a blog post or a product review.

You see, your goal isn’t merely to funnel traffic from your website through an affiliate link.

It’s to become a trusted source of information.

So that when you recommend a product, your readers respond.

Want to learn how to become more persuasive — so you can go on being a dreadful right-wing capitalist?
