Another reason why this is one of my favorite blogs to read.

Thanks for the handy advice, Ryan. Inertia/procrastination is something I struggle with all too often lately. I'm working to change that.

I am a big fan of the handwritten list. I have tried the outlook task list, the pda, the three-ring planner, the calendar-on-the-wall, but nothing beats my yellow legal pad. . .

Tina - Great to have you as a new reader. Thanks for dropping by!

Ed - I like your "global list" idea. I'll give that a try.

Rhen - I actually have a copy of The Power of Full Engagement. Perhaps I should finish reading it. ;-)

Great tips, I especially like the first two.

Personally, taking time to rest has been huge for me.

There's a good book on this called The Power Of Full Engagement I've read recently, I recommend every workaholic to pick up this book as it goes in depth on the topic of becoming more productive through resting.

Hi Ryan,
I agree on hand writing your list. I do it too and it does seem to link the mind to the project much better. I also do a global list for the month. I write down everything I can think of that I want to do. It serves to remind one of the little easily forgotten things. At the end of the month I rewrite it for the next month and remove the things that really didn't need doing. I like taking control of that process rather than just forgetting the things no one reminded me of.

     Thanks,
      Ed Anderson
