I recently bought a report from Jason Leister called 31 Tips for Working with Clients Without Going Crazy (now called How to Get Kick-Ass Clients).
Even though I’ve been a freelance copywriter for about 6 years now, I still picked up quite a few ideas that I’m now actively applying in my business.
To be clear, Jason’s report isn’t only about how to get clients… it also covers:
- how to work with clients,
- manage client expectations,
- understand client relationship life cycles,
- and all the weird psychological stuff that goes on between your ears when you’re not thinking right.
Of course, Jason shares plenty of proven advice for how to fix your thinking… and… fix your service-based business.
I guess that’s probably why I like the report so much. I can relate to nearly everything Jason writes about. I know what he’s saying is true because I’ve experienced it myself.
Confession: In the 6 years I’ve been freelancing, I’ve been ripped off more times, and in more ways, than I care to admit. If I had read Jason’s report 6 years ago, it could have saved me months of wasted time and effort.
That’s why I believe all freelancers should read this report BEFORE they start accepting clients. And then re-read it again after they’ve had a few.
Taking a couple hours to do this could easily save you from getting ripped off and spinning your wheels with deadbeat clients.
The report is just $47 and it’s worthy every penny. If you’re a service provider, I strongly encourage you to pick up a copy here:

P.S. I bought Jason’s report with my own money. And I’m recommending it to you because it is an excellent report. If you buy through my link, I will get a commission.

I understand you can me ripped off once or twice. But several times? Why, didn’t you learn how to overcome these shady clients… I mean, I don’t really need a report to teach me how to spot the frauds, we can smell it from a mile if we’ve been fooled before …
P.S. I like your P.S. I think if you have a disclaimer link on your blog somewhere, you don’t need that emphasizing , in fact, you could/should offer a bonus to entice buyers go through your link and boost your commissions.
The disclaimer does nothing in this aspect, the bonus adds more sales for sure.
You assume there is only one way to be ripped off. There are many. This is why it’s easy to get ripped off more than once.
I’m not sure how long you’ve been a service provider, but rarely does a month go by where I don’t experience something new that I haven’t experienced in the 6 years prior. That’s just business.
By the way, Jason’s report isn’t about “how to spot frauds” — it’s about how to work better with clients. If you’re not a service provider, then you won’t need Jason’s report.
As far as bonuses go… sometimes I offer them for certain affiliate products and sometimes I don’t. Depends on the product and how much time I have available to invest in the promotion.
In this case, I really enjoyed the report and wanted to promote it sooner than later.
