The last note I wrote was to Richard Armstrong for God Doesn't Shoot Craps. I picked the book up during a 5 minute break mid-project... 4 hours later I'd finished it (and 'extended' my deadline.) I wrote him a quick note and got a reply an hour later... complete with a quick pitch "i think the only reasonable thing to do is to buy a copy for the client with a note of explanation!"
