Hey Ellie. Setting up an email signup box from just about any service provider is super easy these days and they either give you the code to cut and paste into WP, or give you a nice plugin to work with like the folks at Mail chimp do http://www.mailchimp.com/plugins/mailchimp-word...

I used to recommend Aweber too, but sadly had to switch since their security issues back in Dec. Of course no one will ever guarantee your data is 100% safe with them, but I'm now happily using mailchimp and you cant go wrong starting with their free account.

In any event - almost all the email service providers have slightly different features - so I'd recommend trying a few out beforehand (most of them offer some kind of free trial) before making a decision.

Good luck!

Steve

Amen to that brother!

Ken is awesome. I just went on a monthly maintenance plan with him. It's gonna save me countless hours and headaches.

Some of us were born just to write -- and not touch anything that can break! lol.

Well, my blog is up thanks to my computer guru. But I keep getting bogged down with worrying 'ahead' of the next task. My real concern is using autoresponders. I know that's the wise thing to do even when you're just starting ... and everyone I know recommends aWeber. But I didn't find it too terribly easy when I tried a year ago. Hmmm... Anyway, I'm just starting.. but I may end up paying for a bit of consulting from Ken before long. I'm learning about plugins and such now. Love your info, Ryan.

And then there's people like me. I know how to set up a Wordpress blog, but I'd still rather Ken do it for me. :-)

I too find that many aspiring bloggers get bogged down in the details of getting a blog set up. I'm trying to not make the mistake of assuming that if something comes easy to me that it comes easy to everyone.
